systems." POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The incumbent lays out,
fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains plumbing systems and
related equipment for assigned projects. S/he assists/manages crew
with varying levels of experience, and executes production, safety,
and quality goals. Base hourly rate of $28/hr - $37/hr KEY TASKS &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles pipe sections, tubings, and fittings
using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent,
caulking, or soldering, brazing, and/or welding equipment. Fills
pipes or plumbing fixtures with water/air and observes pressure
gauges to detect and locate leaks. Reviews blueprints and
specifications to determine work details and procedures. Locates
and marks the position of pipe installations, connections,
penetrations, and fixtures in structures using measuring
instruments such as rulers and levels. Measures, cuts, threads, and
bends pipe using hand power tools or machines. Cuts openings in
structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and
power tools. Hangs steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes
in place. Repairs plumbing, replaces defective washers, mends
broken pipes, and opens clogged drains. Installs underground storm,
sanitary, and water piping systems. Inspects equipment, structures,
and materials to identify the cause of errors, safety hazards, or
other issues, and solutions or escalates them appropriately.
Facilitates knowledge transfer and teaches trade skills to less
experienced tradespeople. Reviews blueprints and specifications to
determine work sequence and effective. Understands safety
procedures and keeps the crew following the rules. Ensures all crew
members have the required tools/equipment to perform their job
duties. Collaborates with foreman on scheduling experience and
proficiency. Assists with the site foreman duties when s/he is

ACCOUNTABLE). WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates primarily in
the field. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to
weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors,
noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically
associated with a live construction site. Depending on the work
location, the incumbent may be exposed to extreme temperatures,
inclement weather, noise, poor ventilation/lighting, and other
hazards or conditions typically associated with a construction job
site. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Approximations on a daily basis) Standing,
Walking 4-6 Hours Reaching Above Shoulder Height 4-6 Hours Working
with Body Bent at Waist 4-6 Hours Working with Arms Extended at
Shoulder Level 2-4 Hours Kneeling, Crawling, Squatting 4-6 Hours
Pushing, Pulling 2-4 Hours Twisting, Turning 2-4 Hours Climbing
Ladders, Stairs 2-4 Hours Lifting, Carrying without Assistance
(Maximum) 50 Pounds TRAVEL: This position may be required to travel
between jobs on a periodic basis as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or training
equivalent. 5-8 years of mechanical contracting experience. Ability
to work from blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions under
limited supervision. Must be construction-document and drawing
literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction. General
knowledge of the hazards of the trade and necessary precautionary
measures. Willingness and ability to work nights and overtime on an
as-needed basis. Capacity to leverage leadership skills to
facilitate learning, teamwork, and collaborative relationships.
Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with diverse
audiences. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a driving
record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements,
and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Rigging and Signaling Certification.
Forklift Certification. Aerial and Scissor Lift Certification.
Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training. Current First Aid/CPR
